EDITORIAL APPOINTMENTS FROM ITNEWS.COM.AU

Nextmedia has today announced that Brett Winterford, the long serving Editor of iTnews.com.au, will leave the company at the end of the year after accepting a position in the financial services sector.

During his six years at iTnews, the publication has shaped itself as Australia’s most trusted news resource for IT professionals.

The brand has tripled its audience and won a number of awards including ‘Best Title’ (Gold Lizzie), ‘Best Business Technology Title’, ‘Best Web Site’ at 2010 Media Connect Awards and 'Best News Title' at the 2013 Media Connect Awards.

iTnews continues to boast an award-winning news team, which includes Penny Wolf, Allie Coyne (Best New Journalist 2013), Paris Cowan, Juha Saarinen and many of the country’s best freelance technology writers.

Nextmedia has announced several important appointments and promotions to the iTnews editorial team. Penny Wolf has been appointed Editor of iTnews after doing an outstanding job as Deputy Editor since April 2014. Wolf is an experienced communications professional and was most recently APAC Communications Director for Oracle.

Allie Coyne has been promoted into the role of News Editor and will run the iTnews news desk. Paris Cowan has been promoted to the position of Senior Journalist - Features. The iTnews team will also be expanded over the coming months with the hire of additional journalists and technology specialists.
